A little late, but here it is! I've started putting the veil together. As you can see, I've attached the tulle to the crown (it does fit my head, though I have to fiddle with it a little to make it stay on properly), and I have also attached part of the crown's centerpiece - the pine needles. There will be more on the sides for a greater effect, and leaves will be attached around the crown - green, not dead like these needles. A small pinecone will also go in front of these needles, so as to highlight its centerpiece-ness more.
I mentioned last week that the tulle was very long, and now you can see what I mean - it already appears lengthy, and that's not even the full thing! I plan on cutting it so that it hangs about three to four feet below the crown, and sometime around that time I'll glue pinecones, flower petals, and maybe some leaves? (probably not, those will go on the crown, and I don't want the crown to be overpowered by the veil) between the layers of tulle. That should be an interesting process, and by next week the veil will be done!! I don't quite have it fully visualized as a final product (I have a vague idea, of course, because of my thumbnail page for the project), but once it gets there it should look beautiful and timeless.
